If you ever replace the exhaust, you'll notice the MDS kick in....and it sounds like crap from within the truck. However, youj get used to it after awhile. Other than that, the MDS is pretty cool. I average 17-18 mpg....and sometimes hit 19-20. Most of my driving is on the freeway tho!

As a precaution for the future,
if I were you
I would complain to the dealership service manager
that you think there is too much noise coming from the rear differential
and ask that he write that into your official DCx service record
right from the very begining.
It might help save several hundred $ later
if your 9.25 diff fails a few thousand miles after the warranty has expired.
