Cant spin tires, even by power braking...
ORIGINAL: kenihemi
You guys with RC, 2WD trucks make me laugh when you try to compare your light weight trucks against our big school buses.
I am always willing to let you up against our 2WD, RC Camaro.
But, why do you even post on these threads? To make you feel better, that's why. Go post on a mustang site and tell them how fast you are and how you can really, really spin the tires, LOL!
Real people are smart enough to know the difference.

My RC Hemi wont spin the tires on take off, but will with PB'ing. Get over yourself.
KeniHemi...nobody was even talking to you, I was trying to help out a fellow Dodge owner...I understand that my truck weighs less than his QC, but he should still be able to break loose, and the PB thing is ridiculous...you should be able to PB with any vehicle with a HEMI...your rude comments and "Dr. Phil" attitude are not needed, don't act like you have an answer for everything and try to tell everybody about certain types of people...like the dude said get over yourself and go get an education son ; ) (Why were the words "mustang" and "camaro" even in this guys post?) I don't need to make myself feel better...i can break traction, so can my gf's 05 ford ranger...like your camaro and mustang comments that has nothing to do with the post...do you see how dumb you sound?
my truck wont power brake to easy in drive. but when i put it in first hold the brake and gas right to the floor then slowly release brake pedal out until it starts breaking traction. mine will do a pretty decent brake torque.
my dad has a 4.7 qc 2wd with the 17s and i have a 4.7 qc 2wd with the 20s. my dads will break em loose easy even on dry pavement and will get up a pretty good white cloud when power braking too. i can barely get a chirp out of mine normally and i used to be able to squeal them pretty good while power braking but couldnt get a cloud up. the other day i tried power braking in a puddle of water and i stayed on it long enough that there should have been a big cloud but just got a lot of loud squealing. i think it has to do with the weight of the 20s. if you have a hemi i would think that it would break em loose even with the 20s tho.
...hey Dire..out of curiousity, what size tires are you runnin?...also, what gears do you have? ..these 2 factors make a difference in how hard/or easy your tires break loose...
With my RC 2wd Hemi with 20" wheels and 3.92 gears I couldn't brake torque either. I have the same results with my QC now. I think the wheels are too heavy to brake loose.
There are a number of factors that can limit you from power braking and smoking the rear tires including:
1. Torque Managment
2. Tire Condition
3. Axle Ratio
4. Surface Condition
5. Temperature
All of these can change the outcome. I'd personally recommend to NOT POWERBRAKE your truck. You are putting useless stress on your entire driveline and brakes. Not that I have never done this, but just don't see the point in it anymore. Now if someone wants to post a cool picture of your truck with a thick, white cloud of smoke with both rear tires spinning, I can't say that I wouldn't enjoy it as I'd have a grin ear to ear...I'm just jealous that I can only do the one wheel peel or a one tire fire! LOL

1500 4x4 QC with a hemi 3.92 gears....bigg clouds of white smoke (with 4 people in it)
idk, most vehicles can do it...prime exampe my friends 91' explorer 2wd can spin tires and it has a 6cyl. What kind of power are you running and what gearing?? On wet pavement its hard not to spin my tires it gets pretty annoying.

mine does it fine. 06 trx 4x4. i got 3.92's tho. but my posi is tighter than ****. try lettin off the brake a lil while power braking. or stomp the gas and brake at the same time so the truck will jerk forward then kick the *** up. ive done some pretty awsome burn out's with mine from power braking. the rear brakes r the problem in my mind. i think they grip too good. my truck struggles to spin them, but once the brake pedal is released, it will bounce the limiter like 2-3 times havin it in first gear, and leave behind two dark *** 40-50 foot marks. it's great
