Cant spin tires, even by power braking...
With my 05' reg. cab 1500 with the 5.7L HEMI I wasnt able to power brake or even make um chirp from it power braking! on wet roads I could just sit there and smoke um without touching the brake and turning I could chirp them. Granite my truck has performance tires on it so the traction is really good so that might have had something to do with it but now after I got my superchip's programer its very easy to smoke um.......
humm i have and 05 RC 4x4 hemi LSD 20s and when I snap the throttle open on dry concrete it wont even chirp on dry ashault it will spin one for a half second bounce a little and grab the other tire...if I hit the brake and mash the gas the back tires will spin like nobodies business.....when im showing off i get the back tires spinning about 3500 RPMs then left off the brakes and bake the tires out of first gear.

...hey Dire..out of curiousity, what size tires are you runnin?...also, what gears do you have? ..these 2 factors make a difference in how hard/or easy your tires break loose...

That is odd. Did you reset the ECM after making all those mods under the hood? I have an '02 with 133K and 4.7 with no mods at all and I can spin the wheels off that bastard. Never had a problem making clouds. But I hear that if you don't reset the computer after making a mod, you can actually LOSE power. I'm no expert, but it's a thought.
dirty dodge, idk if my dads truck lost power, it seemed to like the mods and it really throws ya in the seat.. plus the tmr mod shifts really nice
I've got a 2004 ram 3500 with cummins QC long bed DRW so I have plenty of weight but I really don't feel the weight is my problem with spinning my tires I personally feel the rear brakes have a alot of hold. I feel the rear brakes have more hold then the front personally. I have a 6 gun tuner, straight pipe, and a k&n airfilter and the only way I can turn the tires over is if I have the tuner turned up even then it sometimes only works if I load up the engine and let out of the brake. Then again on some dry asphalt surfaces I can just get in the gas and brake and the torque levels I have some times will over come the rear brakes. Don't get me wrong I have alot of weight and torque to some degree and I can do some pretty dern sick donuts on dry pavement in a culdasack (I didn't feel like doing a three point turn so I slung it around and made the turn).
I repaired my friends 2004 ram 2500HD with cummins, QC, Short bed, SRW, bare bone stock everything, and after I went for a drive around the small everyone knows every town to make sure everything was ok that I repaired. Well I went topped it off with diesel and I got to a light and I wanted to see how much faster her truck was compared to mine because hers was smaller and lighter so I thought there would be a difference. I tried to load up the rpms to take off really quick and I wasn't expecting a power brake but it did it very almost too easily and scared me because I was only a half mile from the shop and there was alot of other people around that saw it and every knows every one around this small town. Luckily nobody found out a thing that I was spinning tires in her truck. So really I think her brakes aren't nearly as strong as mine in the rear. And also the fact that I have DRW should make it easier to spin the tires as we have proven at the shop during our back to back pull competitions on a concrete pad that we have twice a year. Its a ground pressure thing that makes the DRW's spin a tire easier.

oh and by the way if your trying to show off in front of your buddies by burning some rubber put a pair of vice grips on your rear brake line that is just like having line locks or removing the rear brakes from the axle housing to save weight. Once you clamp the vice grips on the line just hold the brake pedal and hit the gas. I am sure you will be satisfied with the results. We do it all the time around the shop i work at and have alot of fun. Luckily we sell used tires and wheels and so we have plenty at our disposal all we do is mount them up and watch the burn. we call it tire compund testing to prepare for competition but really we are just teenagers and young adults with ADD!!!!
OK I am sorry but I just can't resist. Why would you want to spin your tires? Its a truck you have no weight in the back if you can't make the tires spin with a v6 either you don't know how to drive or your truck sucks! I can hardly keep my bone stock Hemi from spinning. Like I said sorry I just couldn't resist.

I guess they just got rid of torque managment after 03 or mine is messed up because I have to be aware at red lights to keep from spinning, espesially if the road has trash on it. Of coarse I read my owners manual and when it said short WOT burst would aid in break in I took it as an excuse to thrash it for the first 500 miles and I must say I am very pleased with the results. Unfortunatly I have no 1/4 mile et's to see if it is as bad as it feels, but there are no raod conditions I can't spin on if I try, but I never try to spin (unless I need to make a U-turn) just accelerate.
BTW I did say it's a QC didn't I?
