Ok, heres the deal. Me and my co-worker got to talking and wondering which would win. My brother-in-laws truck (03 r/c 2wd hemi w/stock 17's) that has exhaust and cai or my friends 92 fox-body hatchback mustang LX with 5.0 H.O. 5 speed. His mods are headers and exhaust and he has stock 3.22 gears. Which one do you think would win? I'm trying to set up the race, but he keeps procrastinating... I think that the hemi would kill it from a roll but not a dig.

 

Mustang would win by a lot.

im sorry but a light 5 speed v8 car those three right there equal fast as "F" could it get any better, yes a header back exhaust system that only adds to the possible *** whooping..... its no question the mustang will win, ive ridden in a 5.0 stang b4 early 90's or so and it is a fast **** w/ 3 people in it chirps the first three gears ez

 

I read an article about an early 90's GT Mustang, and they weren't very fast. It ran a 15.5.

The Hemi will run a 15.0-15.1.

 

IF the Hemi had a superchip and headers then it would be a close race but I believe that with the modd's the ram has the 5.0 is going to win.

 

Lets put it this way, last weekend I was driving my 04 Hemi down the road when a Mustang 5.0 pulled up next to me at a red light. The light turned green and all I saw were tail lights. His. I tried to catch him, but it wasn't even close. My truck is an o4Thunderroad with 17 in wheels 5.7 Hemi 4x4 quad cab. Duals and an Air Force one air intake. He had a two door coupe 5.0.

 

Let's be realistic here. If the ram had a supercharger, maybe then it would be a close race.

 

Way too big of a difference in the power-to-weight ratio, mustang takes it
