Please be more specific for me.

Are you asking about opening the door locks or starting the motor?

The keyless system opens door lock. The starter is something entirely different

Starter kill.....not starting. Was hoping not to have to get an aftermarket alarm. Being that the keyless entry buttons are on the key

The security package with the chipped key won't disable the starter, but it does kill the relay to the fuel pump within 30 seconds after startup if the chipped key isn't used.

I'm not sure if a relay by the ECU to energise the starter or not, but a hidden switch could be wired in to disable the starter solenoid. This would eliminate the aftermarket alarm system.

To put in a kill switch that will prevent the truck from starting even with the key you need to wire a switch in series with the start wire that runs from the key switch under the steering column.

Hide the switch so its not easy to find but yet within reach when you are in the seat.

A far better way which is what I want to do at a later time is get the start kill that requires you to press a sequence of buttons in order to start the truck. For example in order to start your truck you would have to flip on the left hand turn signal and hit your brights before you can turn the key to start the truck and because it is wired through other components besides just a relay switch it is damn near impossible to hotwire. It works alot nicer than a kill switch where if found anyone can take your truck but with this setup even if the person was able to swipe your keys he wouldnt be able to start it without knowing what to press first. Personally that is what I want to do but with my Viper Responder Alarm I just had installed if anything sets my alarm or warning alarm off it automatically kills the starter and pages my remote telling me exactly what happened that set it off so I'm gonna hold off on that for awhile. Also with the start kill Im talking about I got quoted at about $40 in parts and another $30+/- in labor so all together you'd probably be looking at right around $80-$90 after taxes to do it which is far less than any GOOD aftermarket alarm Ive seen.

The EVS I Mopar system uses your existing keyless entry remote (on key).
It provides starter interrupt, monitors the ignition switch cylinder lock, enables horn-honk alarm w/flashing lights, 2 shock sensor modes, all doors monitored, and a flashing LED in the dash panel between the light switch and steering column. Works seemlessly with the Chipped Sentry Key system. Not bad for $180.

This is basically the factory alarm your describing there. I had that very one pre installed on my truck when I bought it. The only problem with it is that the only way to turn down the sensitivity is to take it to the dealership which is a hassle (mine was set so sensative that shutting my front door would set it off, even my neighboors accross the street shutting there door to there house would set the damn thing off), and it is a very simple system to get around and either short out or turn off without needing the key. While the starter kill on it does work somewhat it isn't the most reliable system and if you know what your doing you can shut it off. Plus if anyone gets a hold of your keys your SOL as with any alarm system, while on the other hand the method I described abouve will eliminate that problem cause you would be the only one that would know how to start the truck even so even if someone were to get a hold of your keys they couldn't take off with it. Now if you were to combine the two (the alarm and the start kill that I mentioned) you would habe one hell of a securety system on your vehicle short of adding a low jack system.
