To get the best rumble, I have a buddy with a 5.2 in a 2nd gen with straight pipes and no mufflers. It sounded real nice but the magnaflow in the 04 sounds real nice. Tires look like 33s would clear.

I turned my torsion bars up a little and i think 33's would fit on there, I have an 04 1500

Will it improve Gas mileage? or worsen Gas mileage with a custom Flowmaster exhaust?

my 40 series cat back runs at a lower rpm when cruising like when going 70 moh i run about 1800 rpm instead of 2000 and it does make the engine temp run about a notch or so cooler at all times. I do however find myself pressing the gas more to hear the exhaust so it prob doesnt help
