Well you would probably be crying if you spent over $500 a month on gas alone too david, how much are you spending per month???
Yea you better take those comments back i will will will............................
I was filling up 3 or 4 times a week last year, about $60 per fill-up. I bought a used car ('99 Chrysler 300m) for commuting, and the difference in gas savings paid for the loan payment. The car isn't even "great" on gas, but it averages around 23MPG in mixed driving. Compare this to my truck at about 13. However, this year I'm not driving as much for which I'm thankful... and I'm glad I didn't trade in my truck which I had considered.
why the hell is gas so expencive in canada compared to the states?
are you sure you are comparing US $'s to CA $'s? Other than that, I couldn't imagine why.
it shouldnt be THAT much of a difference though since the candian dollar is worth like .91 so the exchange rate is way good. It boggles my mind since most of our oil gets exported to the US for petroleum.
Gosh, two years ago I never thought I'd think that 2.28 is great. In your previous post you mentioned OKC - is that Oklahoma City? It's interesting to see where gas prices are cheaper. We've only come down to $2.85 in the bigger town where my kids go to school, but it's still in the $2.90's in my town (in Connecticut). I paid $2.63 when I went to northwestern New Jersey (close to I-80) last weekend.
