Default A/C smell ?

It's been really hot so I started to use the A/C and I had this bad smell come out when first turning it on after it has been off . Has anyone else have a problem like this ?[:'(]

Yeah, I've had that with mine too. Turns out that it's some kind of mildew. Check this out, worked for me.

another simple solution is to turn the a/c off before you shut the truck down. I always turn mine off about a block before I'm home. Leave the fan on though. It gives everything a chance to dry out and it won't mildew. It works pretty well.

Try switching to fresh air mode once in a while. This helps eliminate odors as fresh air is drawn across the coil.
