If that is what you would like than I say go ahead and get the avalanche. I just went the other route...have had 1 GMC and 3 full size Chev V8 pickups in the past but the last one I owned was a Silverado 1500 and it cost me as it was in the shop more than I could live with so I made the switch to the 06 Ram 1500. Only one drawback so far with the 06 Ram 1500 that ticks me off and that is the missing rear wheel well liners!!! Cost me 74.40 + 6.55 tax to get a pair to install and keep the inside of body panels safe of dents caused from rocks and such being thrown by the rear tires.

or domestic policy...

*2.2% pay raise for 2007, the lowest raise since 1994, and below the last few years average, but a raise none-the-less*
I like our foreign policy: you support terrorism, we bomb you, (and work on building a new government for you). We need to modify it, however to: you support terrorism, we nuke you, and take your oil (and your all dead, so no need to build you a government). Oh.. what? thats just an anti-terrorism strategy? Darnit.

Back on topic, like frogslinger said, this website probably wouldn't be the best place to get un-biased information (not that there is any place to get unbiased information anyways). If you want to hear all the reasons to NOT buy on, just listen here. If you want to hear reasons TO buy one, go talk on some Chevy sites (they've got the 5 yr/100K mile powertrain warranty on the '07's going for 'em though). The desicions up to you, your the one that makes your money... not me (or else, hands-down, I'd buy/keep the Dodge).

You got that right, the money is up there, along with 75% population of Newfoundland, lol. I was thinkin about transfering up there, but, I don't like the idea of selling the "family jewels" to buy a two bedroom shed, ya know.

All of Alberta is over priced and inflation here is the worst in Canada, I work for a new home builder here in Calgary, starting price for a 1600 sq. ft house with attached garage is 450,000 and prices go up a mim of five grand a month, Thier are a lot of easterners here in alberta, I grew up in calgary and I allways find my way back here, Jobs are here but the cost of living provides no benifits in lue of the higger wages...

AS far as chevy's go, GM on the 07 has upped their power train warrenty to 5 years, 160,000 km in Canada and I was going to buy a Gm truck, they get better mileage, easer to change the plugs on but they are light, 5.3 is quick but, no rear disk brakes, and thier cabs are smaller than a dodge, So I bought A 06 Ram 2500 and I like my truck..

Chevys and Ford's and even the 1500 Ram don't do well off road because of the CV joint's, Thier ok for highway but as for daily off road use they don't hold up to a Solid axle..

Don't buy a Ford, I use to own them and I swore by them, Now I just swear at them, A chevy is hands down better than a Ford...

My friend has a chevy I have drivin in numerous times(not proud to say) hands down my dodge drives much better. It is quieter inside and handles alot better. I would stick with a dodge.

I can't say I like the Avalanche although they finally improved the front end appearance, I haven't seen the interior yet. I find the interiors look too plastic. I still think the 02-05 Rams are the nicest looking ones. I still am not sold on the wrap over headlights.....and I don't like the Dakota tail lights on the 07's IMO.
