just bought an 06 hemi as some of you may have seen my new truck thread but i was wondering what gas you were all running? premium, regular, 87, 92 what?

 

I've been running 89 in mine

 

Mid grade 89 octane

 

any knocking or pinging?

 

87 since the day I got it, no problems. no pinging or knocking at all

Midgrade. 87 or 88 whichever they have. No problems

 

thanks for the responses guys, i didn't get a straight answer out of the sales man when i bought it so i wanted to see what you all were running.

 

so we dont' necessary need 91 octane?

 

i talked to my dad last night because he used to sell dodges and he said i could run the low grade gas but if it started making noises to fill up once with 91 or 92 octane and that will solve the problem so i think thats what i'm going to do. i'll just fill up regular chevron until i have problems then i'll go to the techron junk.
