Default Looking for this type of grill please.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can help me find this type of grill for my truck. I have a White 05 Dodge Ram 1500, 4.7L Quad Cab.

I currently have a regular Honeycomb Grill with Chrome Trim.

Would i just have to buy the Billet Grill inserts and just remove the chrome finish and repaint it to make it white or would i have to buy a whole new grill that is white or primed so i can paint it white?

Any links or advice would greatly help.

Thank you

I have not seen a white one, only chrome or billet. I have, though, seen a Ram that the owner removed and painted the plastic honeycomb grill white on a white truck, and it looked rather good.

If I were you, I'd just buy the inserts, strip the chrome plastic coating off, and repaint it. You're gonna have a helluva time trying to find one that's already your color w/the inserts. I'm gonna have to do that to mine too. Hope that helps.

Take the honeycomb inserts out, take the grille to a body shop, tell 'em you want it color matched to your truck, put your new billet inserts in, and ta da! New look. My dad owns his own shop and I've asked him before and it turns out it's an easy job to do.

FYI, That pic with the white ram doesn't have an aftermarket grill. It has the Laramie package, same as my truck. I would go to a junk yard and find a wrecked one, and have it reapainted if nesseccary. It would be cheaper than the dealer, or just try ebay. I see grills on ebay all the time. I've been looking for a red one to replace my chrome grill.

Yeah, the chrome is just a plastic cover. Mine's flaking off in one little spot, so I'm just gonna peel it all off and repaint it to match.
