Ram 1500 Vibration???
Pungohboy,
Try another dealership, even if it's a hike, don't take no for an answer... Get NEW tires and driveshaft, and if all else fails, lawyer up and send in the little yellow card.
Be sure to have them check both the FRONT and REAR shafts.

I have an 06 Dodge Ram. bought new in Washington State, QC 4x4 Laramie with the 20" rims and tires.....6300 miles 6mos old
Recently moved to Colorado, only bring this up cause at 350miles I had a vibration, brought the truck in to Washington Dealership, they rotated the tires from the front to the rear, then, now in Colorado at my 6000 mile interval re rotated as per your interval, and vibration is back, worse than before. Colorado dealer is less willing to accept what was done at 350 miles, and will not look at past service issues from out of stste, stupid huh? The steering wheel shakes side to side, in the seat you feel a shaking, so Dodge first tells me you need to get the wheels balanced and it is not covered, so I do and pay $40+ at a Goodyear store, who also tells me I have a bent wheel and wheel needed 5+oz of wt. So I went back to Dodge who had the truck for a day to tell me it is not the wheel but a tire, and all four wheels were out of balance....I just paid for that 3 days prior...weird. So they stated I need to tgo to a different Goodyear dealer who will replace the tire free of charge, okay sounds good, get to Goodyear after a week, cause they could not find the tire, and come to find they ordered the wrong tire, so I come back last Staurday with my wife and 3 year old, for an easy swap of the bad tire, 3 hours later I am driving home with it WORSE than before. SO I took it back to Goodyear who had it for 7 more hours, and drove it about 100 miles.....only to tell me they fixed the vibration but it is still not right, something is wrong. I have 6300 miles on it, nothing whould be wrong it is 6 months old. They ended up putting one new tire on the truck. SO Monday it goes back to Dodge who the service advisor shakes his head when I pull in and when I ask what? He states I do not know what I am going to do, I then take the Service Technician with me for a 10 mile drive, he drives and feels the issue, and tells what he is going to do.
I get a phone call today at noon, the service advisor tells me they put 4 brand new tires and wheels from a new truck on the my truck and it drove smooth, furthermore it needs 2 new tires 2 are bad, so Goodyear replaced one, that would make 3 bad tires out of four. Okay, so call me when it is ready, the service advisor tells me oh no you need to come here and take the truck to Goodyear yourself, we do not deal with tires it is not covered under warranty. Okay, I can understand if it is worn or flat, but a defective tire, BS you need to take care of it I told him. Especially since Goodyear is less than a mile away. I told him I want the truck back shake free with the issue resolved, I do not care who warranties what fix my truck period! He put me on hold for about 4 minutes to come back and tell me okay we will call Goodyear and get it taken care of, never heard back today. I have a rental in which I am sure they will refuse to pay for, but I will send the bill to Dodge with all my service receipts, and demand reimbursement.
I want to point out, if you buy a vehicle out of state, eventhough they tell you your truck is warrantied everywhere, there is loyalty from the dealership you buy it from, so if you did not buy it where you service it good luck, they are less than willing to help you.
I too brought it in for trade in, but with that Dodge employee pricing I am getting killed on the value. I love the truck, just hate the issues and incompetence from Dodge's service advisors who think they know what they are talking about!
Will keep you posted.....sounds like a widespread issue

Chx it sounds like you are getting the same run around. I didnt post it in this topic but i went to a good year place (60 miles away closest one) 3 times and got 2 new tires. my dealer last trip in took 4 tires and wheels off a new truck and it still did the same exact thing. And that same day i drove a brand new 06 with 20 inch wheels and it did the same thing. Have you called DCX about this yet? If not make sure you call them and complain i am telling everyone i hear about with this problem (at least 10 so far) to call so DCX cant deny the issue. My wife works with a lady that her husband is a service mgr at a dodge dealer 30 miles away and i am going to see if he can drive it to work one day. That way he feels the vibration for 30 miles and then maby he will stand up and try to do something for it.
Also Chx i dont think you shoulda had to pay for the reballance since the tires are covered under goodyear warranty i had all 4 mine ballanced 3 times and they didnt charge me a dime. You might want to check again with the store about that one.
I know when you call DCX you are suposed to get a customer care number i wonder if we all got our numbers together and called with the numbers if they will actually not be able to deny the issue.

I went to the dealership today, after they advised they Goodyear put 3 new ones on, I drove it with a tech, it is better but not perfect, so I am making them replace the 4th, so I will have all new tires, someone will pay for the rental car and balancing as well!!!!TRUST ME!!!!!
Let me know....

Yea man let us know if the 4th tire helps. Like i said 4 different (type) of tires and different(type) of rims and i still felt it was a little better but not much. Mine is most noticible pulling a trailer which is the reason I bought this truck and traded in my old chevy.
Anyway the number i called is 1-800-992-1997 the number should also be in the back of your owners manual. make sure you tell them that you are aware of other people with these issues. Because I am sure that if we can approach them with enough proven cases of vibrations maby they will admit to something.

Started have the same problem yesterday on the highway. Also noticed that at speeps of 35MPH and above that my steering wheel pulsates or vibrates. Took the truck to the dealership today and he told me that Chrysler will be putting out a recall for this issue (Front end vibration and front bearing noise...as he called it) within a few weeks. Hopefully, he will have the solution by the end of the day today for me.
