He must only be doing the scoop thing, because a while back he had stated that he was stopping sales on the CAI's due to lack of time. Maybe he has some stock left over or something.

Thanks guys, I needed a good laugh today...Now off to see how much an SRT-10 hood would cost.

ummm yeah...because an SRT-10 500.00 hood would be any more usefule to a CDT motor??? plz

anyways...I just picked up two of these for 05/06 1500s ......they fit nicely...screw holes and spacers all align well...even just happens to put the air right where my CAI is located.

I'd buy another if I had a need.

I am thinking about getting a Cold Air Intake, and i guess that this scoop is used for such. But i do have a question about this scoop, and where it's located.
Does this scoops location, cause water/snow to enter the engine? I ask this because of its location. It's located in front of the grill.
If i am wrong, excuse me in advance.

Nypanama, I too have been looking at a cold air intake for sometime now. I have decided that the stock intake is actually quite nice. the housing seems to block most of the hot air. I think that scoop might help bring some cold air to the actual intake of the filter box on our stock engines. Besides paying $300 some dollars for maybe 8 more ponies isn't worth it. I might buy the scoop, just because when looking a the configuration, the current scoop on the filter box isn't angled correctly. $40 might be worth it because it seems like it will push more air through the area where air gets sucked from. Or, i might just go to a hardware stor and make something from scratch?
