whats the differences between the three? actually what does the thunder road and the big horn have that make them so fricken special?

sliding rear window
3.92 gears
20" rims and tires
Anti spin diff axle

 

Same for Thunder Road, I also got premium seating, wood (plastic) dash, heated mirrors, electronic 4X4. Also supposedly different badgering but I don’t see it.

 

If I'm not mistaken the difference is just in what area of the country the truck is sold.

 

I was wondering the same thing. down here in florida I have seen the lone star, big horn, and thunder road.

 

Minus the sliding rear window, you just described most of the options my 05' SLT 1500 came with.

to my knowledge... you can get each of the options that are included in the Big Horn (or whatever package) on any Ram. you can pick and choose any options you want, but the Big Horn is a way to group all the options into one and you seem to get it at a better price than individually choosing them all. It's nothing more than a package that includes several upgrade options.

 

My '05 Big Horn has all of those options except I have 17" tires and wheels. It is second hand so don't know it they elected them or if it was part of the package then.

 

Y'all forgot that the Thunder Road package has the upgraded Infinity stereo, with the 6 CD changer and a year of Sirius free.
