At a dilema
I want to get a CAI soon but I just cant make up my mind on the issue. I've been looking into the AFE setups for a while now and I do like them alot but at the same time after looking over the Mopar CAI they almost look Identical. So Im now torn between the two. I know what AFE "claims" adding their CAI will do for my Ram however I have not been able to find any specs on what the Mopar CAI claims it can do.
So does anyone have a Mopar CAI that can tell me the good and bad points about it? Or what the specs/gains they "claim" by adding it to your system is?
I hate asking so much about a product so often however I like looking into all of my options before I purchase anything thats going on any of my vehicles.

My new to me 2004 Hemi came with a volant CAI. It looks bitchen and sounds good(with a magnaflow excuast). Not sure of any power increase as it came with the truck. By the way, How long is that Superchips in the Mail? I'm waiting for your review before I purchase one
im not sure what kind of improvements you get from the mopar one. But its the intake i went with and love it, as well u never have to worry about if the intake actually will void your warranty even, lots of people say it does lots of people say it doesnt, this way your safe. It sounds mean and looks awesome and u do notice a small amount of gains from it.
I really don't think it makes a difference much in performance.
CAI's are just letting more air in, easier. If you don't have exhaust to help the engine get rid of it, then you got an alligator mouth with a hummingbird azz. Get it?
You can never go by the claims that the company's say.
Go with the cheaper one.
I say that the most you'll see from a CAI is 3-4hp on a hot day.
Don't know if he is on this site, but check out RAM-AIR. He has some systems that actually work.

Do you have any pics as to how it looks on the engine?
