Ram SRT-8
who here wishes dodge offered the 6.1 hemi in the ram? I wish they did and just keep the appearence and all of the ram the same as the ones with the 5.7. I mean sure I could get an srt 10 but at over 50G's for an 06 thats too much and I could never take that truck down a gravel road to a dirtbike track. Does anyone else wish they could have gotten the 6.1 in their rams for like 5K more than the hemi? I sure as hell wish I could have that motor. I do know it would kill the sales of the srt 10 though. Just thought about that and I was wondering your opinions.

dude, it doesnt matter about the SRT-10. The thing is that when the year ends so does the SRT-10. Emissions regulations will be the end of the SRT-10 truck so thats the problem. I dunno, the 6.1L may be in the list.

I figure it would be a good difference considering the 5.7 has 345HP and the 6.1 has 425HP. A Lightning has 380 with the supercharger so an srt-8 would probably beat those as long as they were stock.

For 5G's more, I'd rather have the CTD. I seriously don't think that it would be that much of a cost differential for just the motor between the 5.7 and the 6.1, so hey DC, get your crap together and start putting the 6.1L with MDS in the trucks!!

I wouldn't mind a 6.1L Hemi in my ram but I dont think Id want them to add the MDS option though, or at least have the MDS as an extra option. I have a feeling though that if they do put the 6.1L Hemi into a ram it'll probably end up going into the Daytona model/package.

I love the GOMANGO! color they have on the Daytona too! We might be on to something here....

Out of all the colors dodge has out that would have to be my favorite. I see a Daytona driving down the road everyday on my way home from work with that color and everyday I wish my truck was availible in that color when I bought it!

Damn you guys are late...we had this discussion months ago. 
It would be hella sweet though! I think a 6.1 Hemi with bolt on's and a Superchip would make mince meat of a stock SRT-10. Too much competition in the Dodge family...would hurt sales of the 10, but now that it's gone for good, maybe they will reconsider? [8D]
