I'll worry about it AFTER I pull up to a light next to a Tundra that has a pallet of 30-year shingles and 500lbs of gear/tools/flashing cement, 2 compressors, and generator, and ladder racks in/on the bed...
TOYotas are just that. Toys.

First off, I'm a Dodge fan and own a '98 1500. Dodge makes a fine truck, but you are only fooling yourself if you think that the competition does not equal and better them in many areas. I was at the chicago auto show last february when they unveiled the new Tundra. Maybe the pictures don't do it justice, but in person, it is one hell of a fine looking truck. They will not have to beat the Hemi in HP at the crank. The Tundra is lighter and the Toyota powertrain puts a better percentage down on the pavement. Dodge is known for a lot of drivetrain loss. By the way, Titans have been known to smoke Hemi Rams now.

T...T.....T....Toyota? What is this word? I am not familiar with this....."truck". Guys, dont fret, its not about whos fastest its about who's the versatile. The Titan may be faster but in 10-15 years I know who's truck will still be on the road if I were looking between a Hemi and a Titan...I'll give you a hint, it aint the Titan. Also, so what!?! It's a Tundra....it's Japanese. I mean hell, if anything its Risoto...take away all the fancy add-ins and Risoto is still just rice. Let these Japanese manufacturers think they can run with the big dogs...when it comes to barking they can do it all day. When it comes to biting....thats where we'll win.

take a look at the rear diff case when you get a chance and try not to laugh. Looks like an egg canister.

Then you were the only one racing. The only way your 6000 lb truck would beat a Titan is if it was highly modded versus a stock Titan, or the Titan had a lift with big tires.

It's going to be interesting to see if the new Tundra will have the reliablility and quality build of the old Toyota Tundras and pre-95 Tacomas, or average to below average reliability and build like the current Tacomas and Titans.

if for some akward reason it has more then the hemi im sure dodge will make an optional hemi with more power like 380 or something
or maybe the 425hp Hemi they put in the Charger SRT8?! I mean, come on. It's not even a full-size truck is it? They had the T100 for a while but I thought the tundra was a compact pickup, same category as a Ranger or S-10.

The T100 and current Tundra are what you call 7/8 full-size. The 07 Tundra will be a true full-size truck. It's supposed to have close to a 2k max payload and tow 10k+.
