If any of you guys are looking for extra space to mount an amp, it is possible to mount them behind the rear seats in the quad cab. There is actually a fairly simple mod that will allow you to make the seats fold down so that you can access them when you need to as well. The simple explanation is to unbolt the seat, and behind it is a little hook. Flip the hook upside down and reinstall the seats. Now when you push down and then pull forward the seats will fold forward. If you conduct a search you should be able to find this with more detailed instructions. Supposedly (not speaking from experience) there is plenty of room for most amps.

I've looked a this, and its true that when the seats are in the normal position, there is some room behind the seats. However, when you flip up the lower seat to access the cubby holes or to extend the load-flat trays, the rear seat back moves flat against the back wall, and your space goes to nothing. It you don't intend to flip up the seats, then I think it would work.

To clarify, I built it to sound good without using the under seat storage, those are full of straps and hitches, etc. I also did not want it permanent, hence the holdowns. And in about 15 seconds the box is out and the rear seat up and metal deck extended. Base likes volume, and at 2 cubes, is there any other way to do it?
Sure, the sub just needs to be designed for lower volumes. Look at the Kicker Solobaric line, or the Rockford Fosgate P3 line. The solobarics in particular are very good in low volume spaces.
