I need to get a winch mountet in the front of my 06 1500 hemi sport. Is it possible to get a bolt-on-kit hidden behind the bumper which fits my model..???? And where do i find it..???? I know you can get kits to 2500 and 3500 but the dealers claims that it wont fit my 1500....
Need it asap...

Sounds like a good idea, but i have tryed to find uot if the hitch you can buy fits on a 06 1500 but no one seems to know.. Actually i would prefere a hitch so you can move the winch from the front to rear if you need to... But i still need to find something which fits my 06 1500...

I was loooking into the Dodge mount used on the Power Wagons, will this work on the 1500's? If not, why not? Any one tried it?

No, the frame for the heavy duty trucks is different than the frame we have in our 1500s. The only way to get the powerwagon winch set up is to have a 2500 with a hemi, the cummins has an intercooler that sits right where the winch goes (one of the reasons that the powerwagon is only offered with a hemi). You could get a winch and have a shop install it to look fairly hidden.

There's a few guys over on dodgetalk who have done their own install (but they drilled the frame). You could go over there and do a search on winches to see what they've done.

This is something I've been wondering for a while, and every time my stepdad has a powerwagon home from work I always forget to measure the front of the frame. They are very similar, because I have taken detailed pics of the winch mount on the powerwagon. Can one of you powerwagon guys measure the distance between the frame rails where the winch is? My back up is to fab my own mount. It will be very easy to fabricate the mount for a winch. The only thing keeping me from making one is that I'm going to wait until I have the winch so that I know everything fits in the correct place. And I don't have the cash or need yet for a winch... but its only time until I get one... I have a sneaking suspicion that they would bolt right in from a powerwagon to the 1500 ram.

I wonder because I was under the impression that the 150 mega cab is on a 2500 frame/chassis? looks very close to my buddies 3500
