Has anybody been able to locate this magic wire on the 2006 model? I've looked under my hood in the same area and am not having any luck (there are multiple purple wires). If a 2006 owner has found it, please post some pictures of it and provide some feedback on what the results were for this mod.

deanj- I have a 2004 hemi and the trans didn't feel any firmer to me. I wish I could get the tires to bark fron 1st to 2nd on the old quad cab 4x4.

I totally agree with yousame results here.

I hooked my DRBIII to see what all was turned off and these are the results

OBDII GLOBALDISABLE

cat monitor
evap monitor
thermostat stuck open or closed
purge monitor
misfire monitor
fuel too lean
fuel too rich

basicly all the emmisions stuff, thats all i have for now but i will see what else is going on.
If this is true then your PCM will NOT be adjusting to the A/F ratios... ?

but don't you need your PCM to adjust air/fuel ratios?

hemi tough: from what iv found with reading in other forums... this wire trick does little to nothing for those with programmers...(sorry man). No one can seem to say 100% that its usless but with the programmer you are already adjusting the tranny firmness on shifts. i cant speak personally on this as i dont have a programer .....yet......... but this is what im coming across from those that do.

Wheres the MAF sensor if this thing is supposed to adjust A/F ratios? throttle body or something?

It is speed density...It uses the Air/coolent Temp sensor the MAP sensor to ditermin what table to run with... then it uses the O2 sensors to read the exhaust and adjust the A/F ratio acordingly...

The O2 sensors were an "EXAMPLE!"

My point is that the engine will still work the same but the monitoring of some systems will be dissabled.

I'm not sure people are understanding what I'm trying to explain....

never knew that.... i wonder then if my truck is running out of wack. still no codes and runs as hard as ever. dont want to be over zealous but seems to run even harder in higher rpms. some body said it was due to the fact that the tq is not being limited right before the shift. seems to be accurate

AIR_Ram im wanting a cut out on my 03 hemi. i cant find any sound clips from open to close. curious if maybe you could point me to a link or if you have one......thanx

Believe your truck is NOT running "out of wack"

I hooked my truck TO MY DRBIII same the dealer has, no problems no trouble codes.
