nBreakthrough in 04 PCM... just check it out!
i want to try it out on m,y 03 but the will it be the same? my wire is orange like i said... any thoughts? the end cap is different... no triangle tip and shorter. its about 2 inches long and twice as thick as the wire with heatshrink and some sort of glue on the end of it and where the shrink wrap meets the wire.
From what I have read, on the 03 it is easier to just cut the TMR (Torque Managment Request) wire. I found on another Hemi site that it is a Yellow/Green wire at the TCM/PCM. It should do the same thing as on any other truck.
now i get what you guys are talking about . But I can't understand why my 03 hemi has a violet wire when deanj said his has an orange one. I would love to make this mod but would it be the same as changing the shift paterns with the Superchip ? Or does the fast pack only change the lenth of time the gears are held ? Has anyone tried it on an 03 hemi?
OBD-II parameters are changed, but not as one thinks. Trans temp, input/output speed, and clutch volume parameters (CVI). It doesn't turn off TQ Management completely but it is reduced slightly (depending on what PTO device is being used). PTO's are not high speed tools (as in with racing)...it's low-speed only. In other words, move on to another mod. lol.
if you have an 03 and want to put a smile on your face comparable to the one you had when you first stomped that gas pedal....pm me
i just did the mod and mine is completly reversable should trouble arise at the stealership.... no 12 volts needed and no wire cutting!!
no horsepower but the shifts are day and night and it pulls all the way to redline where as it seemed to wimper out a few hundred rpms before.

Had to do it. the wire is yellow with a green strip on it.. this is on an 2003 HEMI so keep that in mind once you pop the hood!

I would also like to add that to my knowledge removing the TMR wire will only work on the 01-03 3.7, 4.7 and 5.7's. The way I understand it Dodge changed some wiring for 04 and newer trucks, so getting rid of it won't be this simple.
these are the steps i used along with the pics....
"If you have an '03, you can disconnect the torque management system (100%) by pulling the TCM wire from the #2 harness. Here's the step-by-step provided by one of our original club members (back in the day):
Pin #10 is on the TCM that is a little easier to get to. It is a black connector about 3-4 inches long on the passenger side front fender and has a 8mm bolt in the middle of it to hold it on. Pull pin # 10 which is the YELLOW WIRE WITH GREEN STRIPE. Here's a work through:
1)Disconnect battery
2)Remove the TCM connector by loosening the 8mm bolt.
3)Remove the plastic shroud over the connector wire bundle. Has 4 clips holding it on.
4)Locate pin #10 with the yellow wire/ green stripe.
5)Remove the red clip on the TCM side securing the group of wires having pin #10. Be gentle, I found a small thin knife blade works well. Pry up a little on each corner of the clip at a time.
6)Once the red clip is removed, you will need a straight pin and a flash light. Using the flashlight, look down inside the connector where the red clip was and you will see a small tab holding each wire in place. Use the straight pin to pry the tab away from the wire slightly and at the same time push pin 10 wire into the connector then pull out. The wire should pull out fairly easy doing this step correctly.
7) Once out, replace the red clip, tape the end of pin 10 wire with electrical tape and bundle it on top of the wire bundle going into the connector. Replace the plastic shroud over the wire bundle then replace the connector into the TCM and tighten the 8mm bolt being careful not to over tighten.
Reconnect the battery"
