Default Cracked winshield

I was driving to work the other morning and I heard the infamous "Crack" of a rock hitting my winshield. Caome out from work to find the crack half way across my winshield. Does anyone know of a good place to order winshields from???? I called a few places, but they were quoting me 300 and up. That sounds a little pricey to me, but I could be wrong. It's for a 2004 Quad Cab.

Insurance covers cracked windsheilds or do you not even want to bother with insurance?

I have a $500 deductable so I'm not even bothering with the insurance company. I could have gotten it repaired for free, but the crack got too big by the time I got it to the shop.

I'd call your insurance to see what they say. I think it is $50 for my insurance to replace mine, with no penalties too. I had a rock hit my windshield friday, but luckily it just put a nice scratch in it and didn't make a starburst or crack in it.

I had a few on many different vechicles. I didnt pay a dime because I pay for windshield coverage. I thought it went under comprehensive.
I'd check you policy before pulling the money out of my pocket .. or at least call you agent.

I agree with the others, call your ins. Deductables usually do not apply to windshields. Reason being the ins company would rather replace a cracked, scratched, fogged windsield than have you drive it and have a hard time seeing what you are about to hit!!
