ok so i have a 2005 4.7l ram and i found the jet performance chip and bought it... didnt see much of a difference... does ANYONE kno of a better chip or even a programer that they make for my engine yet?

ok maybe not? ill try this whats the best performance upgrade for the 4.7l? i have all the basics i just want somthing i can notice... without getting into new heads or cam

 

jet chips are not very affective due to the fact that your pcm will "learn" and then counter the timing and fuel changes. check into a superchips programmer........

Best performance upgrade? 4.56 gears hands down will dramatically improve your response ask Air Ram, he will tell you to get it.

As far as I know, superchips has not yet released a programmer for the 04+ 4.7's. A good person to get in touch with would be Airram. He's done lots of mods on his 4.7, and he could probably lead you in the right direction.

 

this wont give you more hp but with new gears you will notice a big difference in throttle response and a little bit better gas mileage as well. i would talk to airram about his power wire. it tricks your pcm intro reading the actual air temps as being 20 degrees lower than they really are this increases timing 3-4 degrees. its basically a modern alternative to turning the distributor to advance timing back in the old days. i think it sells for 35 bucks but im not sure if he still makes it.
