Don't do a flowmaster. I have read stuff from people who say they actually take away power. I guess thats not a big deal if you're only doing it for sound. I will probably be going with a corsa exhaust when I do mine but those are $1000 for a catback.
I agree, if you want exhaust for your truck for just the sound go with a flowmaster setup but if your after performance go with either the corsa, borla, or magnaflow. I have nothing bad to say about flowmasters because I use to have dual Super 40's on my old chevy which would set off every car alarm I passed in a parking lot. And I will say they do sound amazing but for performance wise you may notice a little bit more get up and go but you dont really get too much out of them. The Borla Cat-Back I have on my ram is probably one of the best mods I've put on my ram. They're quiet at Idle and at cruising speed there is no drone, you can barely tell that you have them on untill you give them a little bit of gas and then they'll scream at you (works the best ar red lights when guys come up and start reving their engines with their loud exhaust and think your truck is just a stocker, one rev usually wipes the smirk right off their faces pretty fast). The only down side I have found with them so far is the price, I got mine for around $750 out the door installed, but if you want something that sounds great and is basically all performance too you gotta expect to pay a little bit more.
...yup...and that's why i took that same $750.00...well actually less, and and did my Flows AND Pacesetter LT headers....and yes..BIG difference with those mods...
