Default turbocharging

Do you guys now of any places that make a turbo kit of the 2003 1500 with the 4.7L. I want to do a twin turbo on my truck and if there isn't i guess i will build one since i am an engineer part time and my dads a machinist and my grandpa's company builds racing engines. i would have to get the computer redone but it should be sweet when it is done.

dude if you have those kinds of resources just swap a 6.1 into your truck. That way you would destroy the 5.7 hemis instead of just hanging with them or beating them by a few lengths.

hi and yes. at STSTURBO.COM, they are about $4000. check out ebay dude. with all that talent check their website and make your own for about $2500. DO NOT DO A TWIN TURBO. take a lesson from the toyota supra geeks, the remove the twins and do a single large turbo, more power, less parts, quicker response , etc. , you will need 30lb injectors a vortechfmu a garret ball bearing gt67 turbo, lots of piping and do a under truck remote mount and you will be over 400hp

A GT67 is too much for the 4.7 engine. That's what we use on the 5.7 hemi which flow ridiculous #'s. A GT35 would be the recommended turbo for the 4.7. But I do agree about not doing a twin setup. A single GT35 will push that 4.7 where ever you need. STS does not have a 4.7 specific application. You can get a tuner kit that works with the hemi and physically it'll be the same bolt up. You'll need a different turbo than the turbo kit. The smt6 engine management package will also work on the 4.7 but you'll need to figure out what injectors will work with the 2 bar map setup. You want to come just shy of doubling your factory injector with the 2 bar package. If the stock injector is 20#, you'll want around 36#. The 6.1 hemi injector flows between 33 and 35# with 58 psi fuel pressure. That'd probably run you nice with 5 to 7psi of boost.

Or build one and use our smt6 engine management package. Anybody can slap on a turbo, tuning it is the beast. Size the turbo right and use the correct AR or you'll have a terrible spool up or high EGT's.

Ah hell if you have the type of resorces you say you do drop in the 6.1L HEMI in for now and wait till the rumored 6.4L HEMI comes out in 08'(+/-). 500hp+

Rumble bee,

STS does NOT sell a twin turbo kit for 4.7's. That is what the original question was, twin turbo setup.
