2007 2500 Ram Heavy Duty 2wd Long Bed, 2" Daystar coil overs (KC09100BK) and Daystar 2" lift shocks (KU01004).

Stock tires at the moment, unsure if I really want to go bigger or not.

Hey craftsmangp, did you use one or two shocks per side of the model #KU01004 scorpion. The kits on their website seem to show 2 shocks per side and they are pretty $$$. Where did you order from? I have a 2004 2500 2wd hemi and I am looking to do this 2" lift. Thanks.

Was only one shock per side, at around 40.00 apiece from amazon.

I ended up going with 285 70 17 Firestone Destination A/T's, will post pic when able.

Hey guys, leveled mine yesterday. Needing the longer shocks. The model KU01004 look right, but I've got a question... Do I simply take the old ones out and move the bracket from the bottom of the old ones to the bottom of the new ones?

Or do the new ones use a different mounting location?

The Daystars come with a 2 sided pin that goes through the lower bushing. Might need some liquid soap to get it in there.

Final update to your thread.

Got my shocks delivered and installed. Along with my new upper control arms (with new, greasable balljoints!) The truck drives b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.l.y!

Anyone who says the stock shocks are fine for a 2" lift is nuts. Maybe if you live in flat land, without speedbumps.. or any sort of bump for that matter.

Here it is with the 285's, still easy enough for my old knees to get up in the cab

Default Shocks question

Hi everyone, I will install my 2" spacer with pro comp es3000 shocks n my '03 quead cab this weekend, just would like to have a little more information about the shocks. I really don't want my truck ride like a 18 wheeler and some guys said that the es3000 are too hard.
Any advice will be appreciated!
