I start actual kinesiotherapy with it on Monday to learn to walk with it. For the first time in a long time I'm actually optimistic about something!

I was watching a show on the millitary channel the other day and they had a guy on there who had his leg blown off by an IED and he said he could run multiple miles with his prosthetic leg and that he got used to it very quickly and that it worked great, I hope the same goes for you.
Hey Chet! Wow it's been 5 months already! Well good luck with the therapy, I hope everything goes as well as it can. Good to see and hear from you! Get well Chet!

Glad to hear from you again, Chet!
From that "poo-eating grin" on your face, you sure look to have the right positive outlook.
I'm sure you're gonna adapt to this and be back to 99% of the things you loved doing.
Keep fighting and keep that chin up!
And don't go so long between updates!

Thanks for posting the pics man!! This thread was perfect timing.. I planned on posting a thread a few days ago wondering what was going on with your progress. Good to see a smile. [sm=icon_rock.gif]
Glad to see your doing well, Chet. It's been a while since I've heard from you, but it looks like you have been continuing your optomistic outlook. Keep up the hard work, it will all be worth it!

For starters, glad to see you back on your feet. Plastic, real, or metal, seeing you standing upright again is a huge boost of confidence. Glad to see that your capable of making it work. A lesser man would have quit. It's also good to see an Irish fan!
I know life has thrown you a curveball, but definitely look at what you can still do, not at what you lost. We've all seen countless people doing amazing things with 1 and even 2 false legs. I'm sure you've seen the guy who is missing both legs from the knees down and he's still parachuting out of a plane. If he can do it, so can you. Maybe you never run a 6 minute mile again, but you definitely can still run, play, ride a motorcycle, and go 4-wheeling. Keep the spirits up, and make sure you let your wife know both emotionally and physically what a wonderful and awesome person she's been. I'm sure the first few times were awkward, but I bet you're doing okay now! [sm=lildevil.gif]
Remember your friends are still here, and we still want to know how you're doing.
P.S. - How did the day spa thing for the wife turnout?
