I have a set of strobes in my '03 QC Ram. I have only had these in for a week or so, but I have had them in my Navigator for 2 1/2 years with no problems. The only concern in the construction of the headlight on the Ram. They are made of an inner shell which has the mirrors for the headlights, and an outer shell behind that with approx a 1/2" of space between them. I found that the best thing to do was drill the outside hole slightly larger so that the strobe tube will fit inside of that hole and fit properly into the headlight. The inside hole will need to be 1" for the tube to fit. I used a dremel to grind the outside hole to make it big enough, but a 2" hole saw will do the trick perfectly. If you have any other questions pm me and will do my best to help. They look really good with the way our headlights are made.[sm=signs003.gif]

Completly false. the only way the strobes could melt the lenes of your head/taillights is if you had them touching. Also you will need a special relay for wig wags (70 bucks). I am and officer in a fire company and have had many lights.

PS. I have a Strobe kit for sale. Nova Superpak 906 90w 6outlet. 4 cables 4 clear bulbs. If your interested gimme a call, 860-625-3995 KEVIN

Just had the strobes installed in the front corner lights and in the rear lights. They look GREAT.
I also installed the Whelen Dominator TIR-3 inside the cab above the rear view mirror along with the siren and radio.........WHAT NEXT!!!!!

Thanks for all the input.

I have a 2004 Ram. I have 80 watt strobes in the headlight corners, my fog lights, cargo lights and my reverse lights and I've had no problems with them.

I will eventually get strobes in mine. I have a whelen led dash light right now. Just want to toss strobes in the rear to catch attention on scene.

Wouldn't recommend the lights for policing, they will out drive you and out turn you if you happen to get into a pursuit but you can simply buy strobes and stuff like that online..very easily, most police impersonators do it that way .. not that I would know though

edit: holy crap this thread got brought back from the dead..

I have wig-wags on my truck. It is NOT strobes. All mine does is it has a solid state somethin or another that splices the factory headlight and bright light wires. When power is applied to it, it alternates the bright lights from the one side to another. I have had mine for about a year and a half with no problem. Best of all, you dont have to drill anything into your headlight assy's. Setup was pretty simple as well. took about an hour, including making all the wires look all nice and pretty. If I could find a way to post the video I have on my phone, I would. But I am technology "Handicapped" I am unsure of the make i currently have, but if you want to know, just let me know man. Good luck with your search.
