Well i just joined the site after lookin it over.. I have found a lot of helpful hints on here.. I have an 06 Ram Hemi that i purchased about 2 months ago. I love the truck.. I recently installed a flowmaster muffler single in dual out and cut off both resonators.. It sounds great except when the MDS kicks in and ruins it.. Does anyone have any ideas or tips for a different muffler where this want be as noticeable??

click the little tow/haul button on your gear selector and MDS will NOT kick in.

As far as I know the only thing that the tow/haul button does is turn off MDS and it will take a litle bit longer to shift. It shouldn't mess anything up, but your gas mileage will probably suffer!

I can't tell when my MDS kicks in, maybe I'm just deaf. I'm starting to hear a lot of people complain about this!

I've got a Flowmaster 1 into 2, no resonators, dual exits out of the corners of the bumper. And I swear I can't hear it when it kicks in!

I tried the tow/haul option, all it did on the highway was rev up to 3000rpms!? Verusus 2000 or so.

What's your beef with MDS? That it kicks down and the exhaust is quiet?

I have the Magnaflow cat back, no resonators (mine had 2) and it sounds great. Not to noticeable at idle, but 2000 and up and she purrs. Smooth on the highway as well.

What happens that you can hear?
