Default Replacement fog lights

Both of my factory glass foglights have been hit my rocks and are broken. I dont feel like dropping $85 for a pair of factory replacements that will do the same thing soon enough. Does anyone make a replacement light that bolts in that has a plastic lense??????

I hate to say it but I don't think anyone does. I'll try to locate some and get back to you though.

I don't know of a source for plastic-covered lights but I can point you to an option for protecting your factory fog lights. Maybe it's been my secret unknowlingly however this mod has worked well for me for over a year. Go to http://www.Lamin-X.com and you will find several custom fit film solutions for the 02 to 05 fog lights. They offer several thickness options as well as color options. Check out all of their products for your other rides.
Hopefully this suggestion will be beneficial to many of the forum members. It has sure been successful for me.
Good Luck.

Sweet, I will order a new set of lights and some clear covers for them. What thickness did you use? 20 mil or 40 mil?? Thanks for the tip.

Try the 40 mil clear if you want maximum protection; I currently use the yellow (fog) tint with 80 watt Hella bulbs and have had great success with both improved foul weather vision as well as increased lamp protection.

Hey Toxdoc, how dark is the tint on those?? I think I'll get a set for my headlights and I would like to get the blue ones, but if it's going to be really blue, then I wouldn't want it!
Thanks!

I would suggest going to the website that I listed: http://www.Lamin-X.com and read the %'s they give for light reduction with the colored films. You can see some examples in their website; they have clear, yellow, blue and a smoke option. They really aren't very dark in my opinion and the light shines through very well. I have only used the film on the fog lights and I'm using the yellow which I like very well and I believe these only have a 17% reduction listed. I use 80 watt Hella bulbs which gives me superior light WITHOUT blinding or PO any oncoming traffic. Please let me know if you use the headlight film; I'm sure it would look good as a custom application in blue or smoke like you see with some of the show vehicles.
Keep us informed!
Thanks,
toxdoc
