Default 4X4 dash light

Hello,
Today we had some good snow, I put the truck in 4 wheel drive and saw the 4X4 light come on and then a little while later when I put it baack in 4 wheel drive the little light wont come back on, I did check on the ICE and the 4 wheel drive is working but just not the light, Its an 05 with 7000 miles one 7 thousand not 70,000

Any one ever seen this or the fix for it?

THank you

My best guess is that the light itself is just blown. If the four wheel drive is still working I don't know what else it could be. just my .02 cents

Mine does the same, but the light comes back on when I wiggle the handle.

Just so you know mine did the exact same thing. There is a sensor/switch that most likely went bad, It was covered under the warrentee and only took the dealer 1/2 a day to fix.

yeah what I did was, 1 I heated one emblem up at a time with a blow dryer, then I took a little tiny flat head screwdriver and put the end right under the edge of the emblem and WITHOUT touching the paint I just pulled in an out ward motion and popped them off one by one, Very easy job, just getting the 3M tape off was the only tricky part, Again I used heat to get the bolk of that off then followed by a goo type remover,

Also you can get the emblems off by using some strong fishing line and use a sawing motion to cut them off, I tryed that first but I think the fishing line I had was to catch minnows, it kept breaking. So the screw driver tricked very well for me, you just have to be very carefull you dont touch the paint and use enough heat to goo the emblems.

Sorry to ramble I hope this helps you, let me know if you have any question and make sure and let me know when complete so I can see a few pictures of your ride

Have a good one man!!

The stuff I use is called cableclear, I had some in my work truck, Its a very citrus smelling stuff and works magic on many things, you can find it at http://www.cableclear.com/Also goo begone works good, and lat but not least a good bug and tar remover works ok, but my far cable clear is the best for EVERY THING I have ever used it on

Hope it helps
