Anyone install a catch can on their hemi ?
got it! is the secondary spark mainly utilized to reduce emissions? just what i have heard
i wonder if msd makes coil packs for the hemi's. i will check it out!

Worth a read
about how many items on the 5.7 Hemi works
including the 'wasted spark' ignition
with many excellent pictures and cutaways

This is the spark plug wiring harness for one cylinder bank of the Hemi. Being a modern waste-spark ignition system, when the plugs fire after compression for the cylinder on the power stroke, its companion cylinder on the other bank fires its plugs during the exhaust stroke. Why? Because wiring the system this way requires only eight ignition coils to fire all 16 spark plugs, keeping costs down....
2. The dual spark plugs in each cylinder fire just about simultaneously. This does not cause detonation, because the flame front from each spark promotes a controlled burn designed for more-effective combustion, good emissions control and stable idle quality.

better spark, more voltage, etc... the way i see it is too much spark is not a bad thing. coils recover quicker as well, especially if the short wires are being used... i would think. i hope that made sense.
