Turning or cranking the torsion bars, will raise the front of the vehicle and inch, inch and half, maybe a bit more, depending on how much they are turned. It's fairly easy to do, but may require some special tools. Just have to keep an eye on things so the amount of raise is the same for both the left and right. Alignment is usually needed following a TB crank, and usually new front shocks are needed that will compensate for the extended lift.
There are two dogs or keys that the torsion bars affect indexing of, and either raise or lower the front end. The higher the lift, the stiffer the ride.
