Default Power Lock help eltupac

So I bought the same kit that you did from alarmsellout.com, but it's not working properly. The doorlock's work fine but the keyless entry doesn't. First of all we couldn't figure out how to wire into the park lights. I don't know if yours is different since it's an 05. Also there are two whitewires(these goto the park lights)coming from the keyless entry box. We ran these wires into the area by the fuse box under the hood, hoping to tap into the fuse box with some little adapter thing my dad has butit didn't work since the fuses are small. I believe that they should both have power to them and only one is hot so I don't know if the keyless entrymodule isn't working properly. All the fuses are fine. When you push the button three times for transmitter learning nothing happens. So basically I would like to know how you wired into the park lights, and also if you know if both of your white wires were hot. Here is the link to the diagram if it helps.

Alright dude, I went scramming looking for the info. I found in the site and the vehicle wiring for your 2006. I did mine with the resistor right on the back of the light switch. Look at the note 2 and I attached the diagram.

http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/

Look for your truck year under the Diagrams tab

NOTES

NOTE *1 the STARTER #2 wire and ACCESSORY wire are combined into 1-Wire System, the Starter #2 will require a (-)Negative thru a 180 Ohm Resistor and an Extra Relay Part #775 the Accessory will require (-)Negative thru a 610 Ohm Resistor and an extra Relay Part #775, to connect See DIAGRAM.

NOTE *2 the Negative Parking Lights require a (-)Negative thru a 1130 Ohm Resistor or a 2200 Ohm Resistor and an Extra Relay Part #775, to connect See DIAGRAM

NOTE *3 this vehicle uses a 1-Wire Door Locking System that requires a (-) Negative thru 820 Ohm Resistor to Lock and requires (-) Negative thru a 330 Ohm Resistor to Unlock, to connect, See DIAGRAM

NOTE *4 the DRIVERS DOOR is a PURPLE (-) at Pin 1, the PASSENGER DOOR is a PURPLE/WHITE (-) at Pin 4, the DRIVERS REAR DOOR is a PURPLE/ORANGE (-) or PURPLE/GRAY (-) at Pin 2, the PASSENGER REAR DOOR is a PURPLE/YELLOW (-) or TAN/YELLOW (-) at Pin 3. when connecting to an Alarm System use all 4 wires and Diode Isolate, to connect, See DIAGRAM

NOTE *5 the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is on the PASSENGER SIDE FIREWALL. The BLACK/ORANGE Plug is the SECOND plug down from the TOP. On the SRT-10 the TACH is in the BLACK Plug, Pin 18. On DIESEL'S the Tach wire is at the ECM, on the lower drivers side of the engine, FRONT 60-Pin plug, Pin 24 or at the Camshaft Position Sensor just LEFT of the ECM in a 3-Pin plug.

Thanks man I'll see if we can get it after I get my windows tinted today. I think the keyless module might have something wrong with it though because I would think it would still work even without the lights. Where did you get the relay?

resistor and relay @ radioshack

Greg @ alarmsellout is a really nice guy. He'll work with you. He might not reply the next day, buthe replies.

I hope this helps. Also, check all your power connections and ground. I almost fried my alarm system when I connected the power without grounding first. I thought I had ruined it. But no. Its easier with aftermarket door locks because you know which wire is positive and negative coming from the door lock module. You dont have to go and look in the car's harness.

Yeah my dad used to be a mechanic so he has done this kind of stuff many times before, and were worried we might have fried the module. We had the ground and everything connected, and had to cut some wires because they didn't give us enough wire. We weren't planning on cutting wire because we thought they would give us enough, and had hooked up everything including the power. So when we cut the wire we forgot that it was hot. So if I have to I'll just buy another wireless module it's not like it's very expensive anyways.

Ended up being the box was messed up after we accidently cut the wire. We bought a new keyless entry kit and it works great.
