New electric fan---FYI
I was looking throught he truck section of the new Summit Catalogue today and noticed that Perma-Cool pg 370, has a new full cowl mount electric fan for 2004-07 v6,8,10 cyl.Ram. Its supposed to bolt up to the OEM mounting. Seems kinda expensive to me ($549.95), but thought you folks might be interested.

RE: New electric fan---FYI
I guess i'm out of my league on this one.........I see most of you guys have Hemi's, so i guess this fan is specifically made for Hemi's.
I get Summit catalogs periodically, so I'm going to check and see if i can find one of these fans for my truck.
Can anyone advise as to what type of fan i should be looking for?

RE: New electric fan---FYI
Sorry Guys,
I guess I should have elaborated more. The part # PRM-19521 is correct. I couldn't find it on the Summit web site either---they just haven't put it up yet. I found it in the most recent catalogue--pg 370.
It replaces your stock engine driven cooling fan behind the radiator. By doing this you get rid of some parasitic lost of power, that is normally required to drive the fan---by going electric--you free up more horsepower!!!! Since the Dodge fan is actually driven all the time, as I understand it, you will gain horsepower thoughout the RPM range---or another way of looking at it is you'll get a little better mpg if you keep your foot out of it. It is a temp adjustable fan that also has a relay that turns the fan on when the A/C is turned on. It also comes with its own shroud, so you pull the old, mount the new, wire it in and your ready to go.No chopping and hacking at the OEM shroud to mount it.
OK, I hope that explains it better
