Default exhaust ques

so brand name exhaust sys are expensive. so to avoid shelling out alot of money i am scoping out ebay but most of the systems are with 2.25 or 2.5 pipes. Rams have 3 inch. What will hapeen if i get the smaller diameter pipe???

I'm having a local muffler shop install a cat back with a flowmaster 50 and a nice stainless rolled edge tip for $200.Seems like a good price especially when comparing to some of the Borla, Magnaflow and Gibson systems. The tip will be welded on instead of bolt-on which IMO will look mnore finished.

If you are worried about cost you could just buy whatever muffler you want and have it welded in. You won't mess up your engine going to the smaller pipes. Your gas mileage isn't going to get any better either(it might get worse from stepping on the gas to hear it)but it sure will sound better
