--Venting--

Saturday night I went out for dinner with my wife, we drove my pickup truck. After dinner we are walking towards my truck and I see my spare tire cable hanging down. Someone stole my spare tire!!! I was pissed, I've owned various pickups for many years and never even thought about buying a lock for the spare. Now I gotta get a spare and a lock... Unnesscary expenses!!

Any ideas where I can get a used 20" steel black rim for a decent price

Oh I can beat that ,
A buddy of mine had a old Ford Hi-boy w/ a divorced transfercase
after 3 hrs at the local redneck bar we came out and some scum bum had took the transfercase off
We must have came out early and interrupted them because they didn't get away w/ it .
He had to file a police report and then we called sum other guys up and put his truck back together.
That just goes to show u nothing issacred to low lifes.

It's amazing that in these days, people still don't respect others property......Now, this person had to go underneath your truck, in order to get to the spare tire. I wonder if he even thought for a minute, what you would/could do to him, if you caught him.
What excuse could he use? And what could his family say, if you did catch him, and decided to make sure he never did it again.
And they say some of these third world countries are barbaric. At least they respect other peoples property. And if they don't, then off with a hand it goes.........

If caught, these toads should get some sort of capitol punishment.
I often wonder why we Dodge guys don't have our tailgates stolen more?
I have a tailgate lock, but most people dont????????

thanks for the link. The price is resonable, every place that I called that actually has a 20" steel rim, they all want ~$100 for a USED wheel. Plus a tire, I am over $200. Now I know why they stole it.

I'm glad mine came with a lock but I'm sure if they want it bad enough they'll get it anyway.

 

So, the new thing here in CA is stealing the cats.. Guys climb under the truck or suv, Because they are higher and more accessible, and are cutting out the cats.. Apparently the great metals inside them are worth a bit of cash. Go figure. Imagine coming out to hear that rumble when you start your truck.
If caught, all thieves should have some appendage removed.
