I got a guy that works at a junkyard that says he has a set for a Mega Cab, but I don't want to just take his word that they will fit the truck. They have 3 flanges welded to the bar that go straight up, I guess there about 4-5 inches long. These are the 6 step if it matters also. Does this sond right? And if it is I assume you drill and attach to the cab.

My bars mount completely different than the one's pictured. They're like the pic you posted.

They will fit your truck as long as it's an 06. The 07 has a cab support bracket that's not on the 06.
The passenger side rear bracket on the nerf bar has to be 2.5" father back on the bar to fit the 07.

N-Fab is aware of this now and sells bars with the bracket relocated for the 07.

They mount to the spot welded lip right under the edge of the truck. The big flanges lay against the inside ( look at the pics of under the truck. Where you can see that piece of square rubber stuck is where the flagne lays.

I have a couple friends that are pushing 300lbs each. They both got in and out of my truck using the bars and I didn't hear a single squeak or anything give. They mount is very solid.

Mine are made by Texas-Tuff, www.unlimited-texastuff.com, they are like those just thicker. There wasnt any drilling, i think they just used mounts that were all ready there. Mine were just a bit beefer looking. And i didnt want 6 of them.

Ok so the flanges lay against the rubber tape pads, do you mount with sheet metal screws or is there a way to get some bolts behind there?
