Default Seat Stains...

I hear a lot about seats that stain easily. The 2007 ram has “YES Essentials fabric” that is supposed to be stain, odor and static resistant. Is this a new fabric for 2007? What does 2006 have where so many complaints are coming from? I'm looking to order a new ram in the next couple of weeks and don't want problem seats. Thanks, Red

No cloth protection lasts forever. Keep a can of Scotch guard on hand and reapply every 6 months or so.

Or get the vinyl seats. I have 'em and love 'em! Easy to clean, high endurance they are pretty comfortable. So far my grandson (and wife) have failed in trying to stain anything in the truck.

I second the scotch guard idea. I applied it right when I got the truck, and I have zero stains. I also work part time at an automotive shop, and my clothes get covered in oil and everything else; I have yet to see any transfer onto my cloth seats. My scotch guard has been on the seats for 6 months, I used two light coats. Be careful not to apply to much, or your seats may get starchy (stiff).

What if it is to late for the scotch guard. Does anybody have any good ideas or info to clean the seats? A lot of what I or my daughter has gotten on my seats, has come out. However, the cleaner I used left a wet stain. You can see the ring where it was.

I have the 07 and the YES seats and they say you should't use Scotch Guard on them. So far the seat works great, even after a spilled cup of coffee. No stain or smell...worked great! And the seats are very comfortable.

Do the 2006 models have the YES fabric? ... or is this new for 2007?
