Default tire shine making truck dirty

I have used three diffrent tire shine products. Each one is spinning of the tire covering the side of my truck in black oil specs. I follow the directions, I even let it dry longer and wipe it with a rag to get off extra. Whats the deal?

Be careful not to use that stuff TOO often, originally it was intended for people who go to car shows it will cause your rubber to start cracking prematurely if you over use it.

Not sure what to tell you a bout the spraying, hope you have a couple of good coats of wax though.

I have that same problem. I just sprayed mine today and won't drive it till tomorrow. I bet it still happens. Kind of a pain in the ***.

I had the same problem. Either spray the tires and then wipe down the truck with a soft rag, or just place the spray on a rag and rub it in.

I also use McGuire's Insane Shine...spray can. It gives a longer-lasting shine than any other product I have used, and have never had any spin off onto the body of my truck.

ive got through em all! the one ive found that actually works is "shining monkey no spit tire shine" (shining monkey is the company, yes weird name). the only down side is this shine isnt the "wettest" if you will. but it sure doesnt get all over your wheels and fenders like all the others.

I use Mequires "Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Coating" and let it sit for 15 minutes before I roll off...Never had any of it spray off on my truck..

I will agree with jcarbonell 13, I have tried several types and this seems to work the best for me. It reminds me of aerosol hairspray to me. I spray my tires first then allow it to dry/set up as I detail the rest of my ride and then when I drive off it stays put.
