My SRT8
I don't think anyone is hating, you just decided to use a 'performance' moniker on a machine that while not completely stock, has a bunch of stuff thrown in it, which might make it break even sppedwise. It is nice looking and should handle well. Personally I wouldn't have put the SRT8 badge on it, thats kinda like the import guys who throw wings and GT-R badges on everything. So if I saw it somewhere, I would say nice ride....then laugh. Sorry. Now if it had a nice 6.1 in it or even the better the heinously evil 392....I still wouldn't, I'd leave that bitch a sleeper hehehhehe
Awesome looking truck man. You have done a lot to it, and it has obviously paid off.. Very sleek looking, and I definately like the badging. I definately think that the SRT-8 badging fits, as all the str series vehicles I have seen are low, sleek, with big chrome wheels, and chrome exhaust tips. I don't see it in any way comparable to the ricers, may just be my mind set however. Looks great, good job on the truck. If you add a SC or TC in the mix, that thing will be wild. Definately good work.
If anything, ditch the tail light covers...

Put what ever you want on YOUR truck. I like the idea of an SRT8 with the demise of the SRT-10. Even with the upgrades your still under a SRT and its YOURS!
Nice truck, keep up the good work.

Thanks for the input fellas.
I agree, the rear tail light covers need to go. They were on there when I bought the truck, as were the side window deflectors (the aftermarket parts guy decided to go a little crazy). Both of which I didn't like, but the side window deflectors actually grew on me. I ordered some chrome taillight covers (nothing gawdy, just clean) but they were the wrong ones when I received them. They were from the same manufacturer that made the ones I wanted, but they looked cheap as sin, so I decided to abandon the idea completely -- just haven't found the time to take the heat gun to the tail light covers that are on there now. That 3M tape is a b*!@.
So, the jist of what I'm reading is to up the attention (and pocket book) to mods on the engine/drivetrain. I concur -- I've just been banking on the Banks twin turbo since its conception, but it sounds like that is a work in progress, maybe never to appear. I also talked to Kenne Bell this last week and confirmed that their 5.7 Hemi SC is awaiting it's finalization as well -- put on the back burner for "other projects."
For now I will remain slow. SRT8-wanna-be badging and all.
The only beef that I have with most body kits out there is they look like cheap, plastic, glue-on rice-mobile crap that I wouldn't dare put on my truck. The SRT10 bumper does have a low pro', but if you look at the side of an SRT10, there aren't any add-ons to the side or rear fascia... it just has a different side molding. Until I find a quality, clean looking kit (again, still looking if anyone has suggestions) the side and rear skirts will remain stock.
Until then, thanks again for the input - pros and cons - and I'll update everyone with the go-fast options I decide to go with -- many of them taken from your replies.

go to a dealer and order the body side molding that is an option on the sport model trucks. they look nice plus have a built in step/running board for your vertically challenged friends.
