No Tow Hooks
I pulled my neighbors H2(pos) out of a drainage ditch with my front tow hooks and drug it across the road.He was shocked I could pull it out with the vehicles wheels not moving
. I was more worried on pulling his tow rings and bumper clean off the H2. I am always the first one to pull out stuck vehicles.Thetow hools I have on the front of my HD 2500is the OEM closed loop ring type. They are built as solid as they can be.

No pics. I did'nt want to embarrass him any more than necessary.
This year durring hunting season, I pulled a minivan out of a ravineway back alogging road. He was pulling off the logging road to park and go look for a spot to hunt. He pulled off too far and the minivan slide sideways down a 10' ravine. I backed up, put it in 4x4,and used my rear trailer hitch to drag him back up. His lower running boards were ripped clean off but he was happy I was there to pull him out.

Hes a good guy. Just another Dr. that got caught up in the Hummer craze. I said more by not saying muchat all. Funny thing is that when I bought my new 2500HD he asked why I did'nt get a Hummer? I jokingly told him "I am a hard core bowhunter, I need a real 4x4 truck that will actually get me and my gear in and out of the woods on a regular basis".
As far as I know, the tow hooks come with the protection group option, which includes the skid plates. The factory tow hooks are direct bolt on, and no dremel should be needed (at least it isn't on the 06's for sure). You just have to pull out the black pushpins holding in the plastic black piece in the bumper (sidenote: don't break or lose these, they hold on the color part of the bumper directly above the opening.) The tow hooks' bar is one solid bar with the hooks welded on. I can't recall for sure if it is connected to the front crossmember or the end of the frame rails though. Hope this helps you out.
Speaking from the 06's, (only reason I know all of this is I put a grill guard on a friend's 06 and he did not have the factory tow hooks.), The factory mounting holes will be predrilled. I don't recall if the bolts are already in the frame or if they come with the hooks, but there should only be two bolts to tighten down in the factory holes.
