Fog lights, how to?stock?
I did run into the starscan situation after installing mine. Most dealerships wanted $110.00 an hour to install those but I did do that myself on Saturday. Getting all the plastic on the dash popped loose to install the factory switch assy. was the biggest headache. Even after all that, the lights still will not work on 06 and 07 trucks until you take it to the dealership and have them program the computer to recognize the fog lights. My local dealer charged me $18.50. Most in the surrounding area though wanted $45.00 to do that.I've worked on my own cars and restored Mopars for 30 years, getting all those plastic dash pieces loosened up and pulled back to install that switch, w/o scratching or nicking them, is not an easy task but is doable. You just have to be very patient. Would much rather tear into my 70 Roadrunner, but I also wasn't paying someone $110.00 an hr to do it either.

It appears its asituation where some do and some don't. Dealership says 06 and 07's. I've talked to guys with 06 and 07's that had to have the Starscan done. Depends on how it left the factory. Like in the old Mopar muscle days. Just about anything goes.
hi just wondering if you dont go to the dealer how do you get the lights to turn on install is very easy as far as the factory light switch w/ the correct button and all but they dont turn on till the ecm is programmed to recognize that the truck has fog lights i have seen some posts about soldering a wire to the headlight harness but that will void any warranty on the ecm and wiring if you know of a way to get them to work let me know as some of my friends also want to add fog lights and who wouldnt want to save the 45.00 that the dealer wound up charging for 2 minutes work thanks i am talking about a mopar factory set w/ the factory correct switch
hi i was just wondering about the fog light situation we spoke about a while ago did you figure why your fogs stay on w/high beams did you have yours programed or did your (mechanically challenged) friend put them in i have since installed 4 sets for friends and they have all had to be programmed so as not to have to do any soldering into the harness kinda plug and play except for the programming and dodge has a kit for 108.00 that includes the correct switch ,just wondering, cya
