Default Fog lights, how to?stock?

my truck is a 03 8" box with 4 doors, in place of fog lights it has a black plastic "vent" looking thing, i would like to remove that and install fog lights - mopar ones. My question is, if i remove that, and purchase a foglight kit with the bracket, is that all i need to do? or my fog lights will require a kind of insert??? where the "vent" thingy was?

If you buy a stock fog light kit, it should include everything you need, including the new headlight switch.

I just installed the Mopar fog light kit last Wednesday. Everything you need is included in the kit, and it's an easy install (less than an hour).

just pop the inserts out and install the fog lights. once thats done, to install the switch the instructions say to drill a hole in the dash by the steering cloumn for the fog light switch, and if i remember right, you also have to soder into the headlight circuit so the fog lights shut off when you hit the high beams...but it's all there in the instructions, pretty simple to do actually

im running HIDs which took a while to figure out how to connect to the harness and how to make it work, 03s are tricky because of the LAMP OUT sensor.
im looking at ebay's mopar fog lights, there is a lamp, plus there is like a bracket sticking out on both sides of it.
If im not misteaken the switch is integrated into the light switch, you just pull it out.

eBay has some OEM fog kits but my only question is how do I check to see if my truck has the pre-wire for the fogs? There are 2 kits and one is the complete kit (wiring, switch, fogs) and one is the pre-wired kit (switch & fogs). I found an unused connector in front of my radiator on the right side and it looks like it will reach the fog holes (haha), but I've also read threads about that being the connector for a block heater. Any help? I'll try to snap a picutre of it at lunch time (I'm at work) and post it.

I bought my kit on Ebayfrom mopardeals (pseudonym for Wyatt Arp Dodge) for $108.85 plus shipping.

To see if you have the pre-installed wiring, check on the driver's side inside frame rail near the front bumper: if there is a harness there with a red piece on the connector, you have the pre-installed wiring.
