RE: anyone tune a turbo 0n a 5.7 sucessfully?
thanks for the info guys . I fear the tunning the most be cause of "the idle issue" and "on the road issue". I blew a couple of seals on my mazda during the on road tunning and don't want to go trew the same with the hemi ,even though piston engines are more forgiving. I am going to do a detailed search on all of the work needed to acomplish this mod then I will be contacting you guys for pointers if you don't mind. Thanks again guys.

My question is where is the best place to buy the complete system?
I was qouted $4600 for the following.
1. SMT-6
2. 8 larger(55lb) injectors
3. 2 Bar MAP sensor
4. Startup F/I tune
5. Software CD
6. Wiring diagram
7. Serial cable to make adjustments with a laptop or PC
8. STS Turbo kit for a Dodge Ram Hemi.

I sell the sts turbos for the hemi's and SRT10KLLR sells the smt-6 kit including the map sensor and injectors.
With shipping, that price is about right without any upgrades to the turbo and no Intercooler or boost controller if you want to run more than 5lbs of boost.
SRT10 may have a used turbo kit for sale for much less than new.

Hey guys , another question: Does anybody have this setup with longtube headers ? I bought a set of dynamaxx long tubes with high flow cats an was wondering if it makes any differance in its functioning properly? I guess I would just have to costum make the down pipe to the turbo?

Seems like 105 octane E85 fuel may present a lot of opportunities as it becomes available.
Speaking of opportunities,
when E85 was discussed over at Bionic,
Marty at KRC chimed in and said that if anyone with good mechanic and tuning skills wanted to move to Cocca Beach FL,
NASA had a bunch of E85 vehicles they had to buy under a government contract and had no one in the area to fix them when they went wrong.

Just curious - what kind of 1/4 mile times are you guys laying down with the sts turbo set up ? I have thought about getting this myself and was wondering what kind of improvement you get for $4600.00.
