Default Question about Warranty Periods/

You know it's amazing, it appears that no matter who you talk to, who owns a Dodge, they have a different warranty.
Can some of you guys tell me what kind of warranty you have on your vehicle? and for how many years?
My warranty, including the extended portion, is 75,000 Miles or 7 years..
Someone else on this forum, indicated that he had a 100,000 Mile warranty...... Why the difference in warranties, with the same types of vehicles?

you got your basic 3yr/36K BTB, 7yr/70K powertrain, 8yr/80K emissions (i think it's 8yrs) and early in 2002, the rams had a 7yr/100K powertrain warranty.

i have the 3yr/36K BTB and the 7yr/70K powertrain...thats all thats coming to mind right now, if i remember anymore i'll let ya know

I believe 05 was the last year for the 7/70 powertrain. I'm pretty sure my 06 only has the 3/36 bumper to bumper

Yeah.
What's bad is warranty coverage seems to be based on the dealership you go to. Its like Dodge leaves it at their discretion. Case and point - When I had my driveshaft fixed I was charged for towing because I did not call the 800 # included with the original paperwork. 137.50 + $50 markup by the crooks at Randall Noe. Anyway, the next day after telling me I need to send my paperwork to DC for a refund, they called and said, "they have changed their minds and decided not to charge me for towing". I put it in quotes because thet is EXACTLY what the girl said.

If if read correctly, it appears that Dodge is now offering a 3/36Kmile warranty on all of it's new vehicles. GM is now offering a 5/100,000K miles warranty with their vehicles.. Why doesn't Dodge match GM'S?

NYPANAMA42, The "official" reason given (by upper management) for discontinuing the longer warranty was surveys. On a willingness to buy survey, the 7/70 was near the bottom of the priority list so they stopped it, they felt there was no added value to continue it. I'll look around for the statement tomarrow, I don't have time right now.
