removing glue from debadging
I debadged my truck, and you can still see where the letters where because of the glue thats left in the shape of the letters and numbers. I have used gas, goo be gone, and sticky stuff remover. None of them even phase the residue. What can I use to take it off with?
NO!! Nogas, BAD!
WD-40. Let it soak then use a rag to rub off and then polish with a light compound then wax.
When I did my Jeep I used a plastic puddy knife (body puddy knife, fiberglass/bondo spreader if you prefer). After letting the WD-40 soak a little I then used the plastic puddy knife to get the glue off, but be careful, even though it is plastic and flexible it could scratch.

hair dryer and hot water.. i just took off some of mine cuz they got old and fell apart and if you heat that glue up enough you can use your thumb and take it off.. just did it yesterday took about 5 min.
or use a heat gun they get hot faster.

Once you get all the sticky stuff off, you should go over the whole area with some ultra-fine rubbing compound that is clearcoat safe. That will remove the outline of the badges.
