Default Helix throttle body spacer?

Hey guys and gals...just purchased a Helix Throttle body spacer for my 05 Hemi 4x4 quad cab. I was wondering if anyone has installed one, or have any comments on these spacers.

return it or use it as a paperweight. It will do nothing for you for performance.

yah i'd have to agree, never seemed to help very much and what little HP you might gain isnt worth the money u spent to buy it....it'd make a good paperweight tho

Throttle Body Spacers only produce noticable gains on engines that are either throttle body injection, or carbureted. On those types of fuel induction systems, spacers help the fuel mix with the air more uniformly. Since the Hemi and old 360/318 aren't throttle body injection..you're just spacing the throttle body out a bit more. On these engines the fuel is injected at the end of the intake runner, way after the throttle body. All the spacer does is basically move the throttle body out a little more..and make a funny whistling sound.

id return it. most of the ones ive seen have been around $125. if you returned it got your money back and then saved up a little more you could get some nice sounding exhaust.

I have one on my truck I didn't notice any improvement. I installed it about a year before I started viewing this forum so I didn't know any better. The one nice thing is it came with a new intake tube.

Spacers can help HP. The stupid helix part is snake oil.

Both true. But spacers only help at high RPM's, they hurt your low end torque. Not good in a truck.
