Truxxx Leveling Kit
Has any had any experience with the Truxxx 2" leveling kit for the 2006 Ram 1500. I'm now looking at this one over the 2.5" because I thought the 2.5" rasied the front too high. I want the front higher but not higher than the back. If any one can lend me some advice that would be great.

Gotta link? I've got some Springtech coils that are supposed to lift my truck 2", but I haven't put them on yet becasue I thought 2" might not be enough. I got 'em on ebay for like $130 shipped.
Hers the link to the ones I was looking at: http://www.fatbobsgarage.com/cart/in...&parent=11
He also has a 2.5" kit. Its a ready lift kit. If you e-mail him he can get ya a better price. I dont know if those same ones will work on a 4x2

Was there a change in the suspension from 2005 to 2006 in the 1500s? I know the mega cab has coils on the 4x4, but the reg cabs and quad cabs should still have the IFS front end. Those look like a coil spring spacer. I could be wrong, but all the 2" kits for the non MC 1500s has been the Torsion Keys.
I would email and ask if they could send you some pictures of it on a RC or QC 4x4. Like where it actually goes.
<edit> this looks like the proper piece for the IFS 4x4

I see you haven't posted much, but putting all your stats in a sig. or something helps us all out so we know what specific case to work with. Just a suggestion.
Is the stock '06 4x4 front end higher than the 4x2? I just don't want to put on the 2" springs I already have and then find out that it won't be high enough. Because then I'd have to take them out anddrive around without an alignment (no way I'm paying for it twice)while waiting for a taller kit to ship to me. Somebody out there has to have leveled an '06 2wd.

Yea, any help in how to set that stuff on here would help. I will keep playing around with it and get some info on here soon..i hope
I know they offer two diff kits for the 4x4 and the 4x2. I dont know if that just because of how they go on or if its difference in height? The 4x2 do seem like they sitt lower than the 4x4's

I'm just about to say "F it" and put the 2 inchers on there. I should have done a littlebit more researchbefore I got my kit, but I bought it before I found this forum. What do you guys think would be the best way to easily measure how much lift I need? I'm in an apartment still becasue I just got married last September so I don't have a jack or a garage to work with, so using a tape measure, where should I take my measurements on the truck to find out?

anywhere you want really, just make sure you use the same method front and rear. I measure from the ground to the bottom of the wheel. My truck has a 3" difference front to rear.
