Oil Preference?

That depends on what type of filter you have installed. If you have a filter that is an extended filter like K&N then change the filter at what they recommend. if your doing a regular filter like fram or napa whatever, then change it every oil change.
also oil is like trucks, your either a chevy, ford, dodge whatever your flavor. oil is the same, made to specs by the SAE. anything that doesn't have SAE on it I won't buy.
no matter who the manufacture of oil is it has to pass the SAE standards. so basically what you paying for is a name.
No comment on the synthetic oils as I haven't had the pleaseure of researching that.
